Yes Cam you are right and I've thought about them also. We'll work them into this site as well. I'll go ahead and make the Forums so they can come in and do their postings as they want. I'm not sure how exactly to get the word out to them. Maybe someone could post this link to their forums on TC. We have alot to put on this site and I'm going to have to count on everyone to do their own little parts. Fill in the data needed for the rules, get the old links to the former players and tourney pages etc. I'm not asking anyone to steal anything from Talk City, but if it's not certifiably officially legally theirs. Take it! biggrin

If I don't get the ABC and Finders forums up tonight it will be in the next couple days at the latest.

Hey Alanah and all,

It looks like this bomb TC dropped is turning out to be good news thanks to your hard work. TC has always had the "my way or the highway" attitude, and I think Ridic will be a lot more fun somewhere else. Thanks to Alanah and TnT and everyone else for finding a way to get this done. I'll be more than happy to contribute to Mach for what he's doing. We'll definitely be around.

Groggapotamus was making reference to the time I tried to "rat" some else out by pasting their funny typo from the night before in the Rod Stewart cat...however, being the blonde idjit I am, I accidentally pasted a kabob recipe I had copied earlier that day LMAO! Now I will never live down the kabob msg I sent her!! LOL

LMAO i love it. Sounds like something my dumb@ss would do. And Groggy's a strangeun when it comes to her food. She was prolly wrinkling her nose all up and making funny faces.
oh and Tia darlin....seeeeeeeeeeee what happens when ya try to RAT someone out for their typo. LOL

Thanks soo very much for everything you have done for us in the past and thanks again for what you are doing now. I will also gladly contribute to keep things alive.

As far as a customer base, leave it to all of us to keep the word out there and let everyone know where our community ends up. The only reason I ever subscribed or really even went to TC was to play Ridic. When they evict us, I am soooooo done with TC.

Let us know whatever you need from us....believe me, we will be there for you~~~

Doesn't surprise me at all. Simply confirms the ignorance and poor business practices that Talk City is known for.
Erin ...your efforts did indeed do a lot of good. I'm real excited about the changes coming up and the chance for Ridic to start anew elsewhere. I'm thinking a bit further down the road we may be thanking Talk City for doing us the favor. Could be a blessing in disguise. =)

I've always believed one must fight hard for what they believe in. Stand proud on principle and values. Think the world would be far better off if more people took that initiative. Thank you for being one of those people. ((((((((( Alanahhhhhhh)))))))

Thank you Mach for everything. I am commited to contribute as well. This means so much to everyone you going out of your way like this. Please don't hesitate to email me or post here to the forum what your needs are so that we can do all we can on our end to get things done. Once the server is up and running , let's see how the look and feel of the game is and we'll come up with a way to make it appealing and professional like TC if that's the goal in mind. Piece by Piece I think we can achieve the final goal.

Yay!! So glad to see so many of us here!!

Let's see...we have the Ridbar and the swing coming along with us so far. I will also bring the trampoline....what else are we missing? Before eviction, let's strip the room bare.....might as well do it before TC goes completely under and the doors are locked forever.

I think our new home will also include a library just for the volumes of typos Groggy has amassed from us all LOL.

We'll make this a real home for Ridic and its players, I don't doubt that for one second. Y'all mean the world to me and I can't wait for our first game together in the new place!

well, im pretty new to TC, but ridic is the only game i play and enjoy. Seems kinda wierd all the other games are empty, yet ridic always usually has users in it and they close it? Is it gonna restart somewhere else?

I just have to say.......I cannot believe TC is closing down ridic. After how many yrs?? It's one of the main reasons I have chosen to be a TC member for 12 yrs. They need to get their heads out of their asses and realize why they've had such staying power......there have been other chat services, but none has ever compared to TC. I'm just pissed! Like they need more kaos or those other games. I can't believe they just can't come to a compromise with Mach. I have to say, ever since TC got sold to Mzinga, things have not been the same. Seems like they've become like another one of those corporations who don't give an F about their customers. Boo to TC! Shame on them!

Club Ridic...(walks in door with bags and her swing). Thanks for thinking of a way to keep Ridic going somewhere else. I'm willing to help out anyway i can. And Tia you better bring that bar...the stools, the floor, every damn part of it. There's no such thing as ridic with out booze...lol. They called the games stale? If they were so stale why was people still coming in the room.

I'll tell all i see about Club Ridic. I'll shout it from the mountain tops...i dont have any, but if i did i would shout from them and tell all about this oasis in the desert!(mountains...deserts....oasis....philly....doesn't add up, lol)

Thanks Sherry...I'm working hard on gitting better. I'm LMAO@ the RidicBar goes with you. Damn straight it does and when I'm feeling better I see a ice cold margarita with my name all over it waiting for me.
Kenrick will need our help, we can't leave him stranded to do this on his own. Hopefully he will join in with the conversation and give us his input and tell us exactly what he needs to accomplish this.

Amen sistah!!! I am so pissed at TC and their @#$$#% attitude towards all of us. Like I told alanah yesterday, I am completely down with helping Kenrick out in any way to keep Ridic alive.

I have saved the link and will share it with other Ridic friends. It's time for us to stand up and keep our dysfunctional family alive and to hell with TC. And oooh, I just got one of my mean-spirited ideas LOL....I will put this link on my TC profile page LMAO.
Hell, they don't care about us...so screw them.

As I have stated over and over again, the thought of losing Ridic makes me sad...but even worse would be the loss of contact with my Ridic friends because TC is a jackass!
BUT we all need to get together for one last night or weekend in TC... let it roll....be wild and speak out...and I don't care who they have for security, the damned Ridbar is going with me!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope ya'll find yer way here. Hopefully this forum site will allow us to communicate outside of the soon to be defunct Talk City. We can consider this a "home base" for all of us to communicate, keep in touch, and keep everyone posted on the progress of moving Ridic to new servers outside of Talk City.
Funny how in several communications with Talk City, they labeled the games as STALE. Wanna talk about STALE? Their attitude is STALE, I find their management to be STALE & LAZY. But I'll be damned if the foundation of the game Ridic is stale. And most definately not the players. Ya know what I gots in mind to say to em. They can kiss me grits!
This is definately the time to put our friendships and commitment to the test. Time's are tough, people are broke. But does it mean our spirit has to be broke too? HELL NO! In numbers I believe we can tackle this little problem head on. In fact, I'm rather excited about it meself.
This is a small start to hopefully bigger and better and more wonderfuller ( its tenderese) thangs. I'm deathly ill this week so all I can muster up is getting this forum web address open. Now let the communications begin. Don't be shy. Let's get as many Ridic fans here as we can. Pass the word along where we are so we don't lose ppl in the process.
